The fishing season runs from 16 June to 14 March each year.
Fishing is permissible only in the designated fishing areas.
Fly fishing is not permitted.
Tackle and rods must not be left unattended.
Only “fish safe” rigs or leads are allowed. In the event of fish breaking free they must not be able to be tethered by parts of the main tackle.
Landing nets must always be used.
No keep nets, keep sacks or tubes are allowed.
Fish must only be weighed using a fit for purpose weigh-sling.
To ensure fish welfare, wet hands must be used whilst handling fish and unhooking mats must also be used.
All fish are to be returned to the water as soon as possible after weighing, using an unhooking mat or landing net. They may only be returned within the designated fishing area, and not elsewhere within the lake.
The use of boats is not permitted.
No cutting, damage or removal of trees, bushes and/or water plants.
Any tackle or line caught in trees/bushes must be removed immediately - Anything beyond immediate reach MUST be reported to the Parks Office (020 8871 7530).
No fires / BBQs / camping gas.
No bivvys or tents to be erected anywhere.
No plugging, spinning or bait boats allowed.
No live bait to be used.
Check the area around you before you leave – you are responsible for any litter found in your swim. REMOVE ALL LITTER AND DISCARDED TACKLE AND TAKE IT HOME.
Barbed hooks no larger than size 2 may be used, but must be removed with a disgorger.
