  • We are a family friendly Fishery, foul language or bad behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • The Fishery opens at 7.00 am and closes at dusk.

  • All Anglers are expected to visit our shop to purchase their permit. The shop opens at 9 am.

  • All nets must either be dry or be dipped in our disinfectant net dip before fishing.

  • A maximum of 2 Rods per Angler at all times on the Match Lake, Carp Lake, Canal and Basin.

  • A maximum of 3 Rods per Angler at all times on the Specimen Carp Lake.

  • All fish must be returned quickly and carefully.  Photo's of fish must only be taken kneeling down.

  • NO BARBED HOOKS! We do check regularly! Please don't be offended if we ask to check your tackle as it is for the welfare of our fish.

  • Maximum size 6 hook allowed on the Carp Lake and Specimen Carp Lake.

  • Maximum size 12 hook allowed on the Match Lake, Canal and Canal Basin.

  • Please note that No fishing of floating surface baits is allowed on the Match Lake.ie. No using floating bread, dog biscuits etc.

  • Please remember to use a disgorger.

  • Anglers must only fish from the numbered pegs and must not distance cast into other Anglers swims.

  • Anglers must have and use a suitable landing net. No swinging in fish larger than 8”(20cms)

  • No fixed leads or fixed feeders. A minimum hook length of 4 inches to be used.

  • Floating baits can only be used if freelined, ie No bubble floats or controllers of any kind.

  • No artificial/fake baits larger than a single grain of sweetcorn. All nuts must be suitably prepared.

  • Keepnets are only allowed on the Canal and Basin and in Fishery approved matches.
  • Maximum weight of 60 lb per keepnet. All fish to be retained for no longer than 6 hours.

  • Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up after them.

  • No litter. Please use a bin or take your rubbish home.

  • No hot water, BBQ'S or stoves on the grass please.

Specimen Lake



  • The Fishery opens at 7.00 am and closes at dusk – unless night fishing is pre-booked.

  • Pre-booking is essential whether for a day or 24 hr session and must be paid for in full at time of booking.

  • Anglers must not enter the Lake to fish if they have not prepaid for their permit first.

  • The Lake is rod and line only. A maximum of 3 Rods per Angler at all times.

  • NO BARBED HOOKS! We do check regularly! Maximum hook size 6.

  • Please don't be offended if we ask to check your tackle, it is for the welfare of our fish.

  • No braided mainline. No sacking of fish.

  • All nets must either be dry or be dipped in our disinfectant net dip before fishing.

  • Anglers must have and use a minimum 36” landing net and a large unhooking mat.

  • Anglers must only fish from the numbered pegs and must not distance cast into other Anglers swims.

  • All fish must be returned quickly and carefully. Photo's of fish must only be taken kneeling down.

  • No fixed leads or fixed feeders. A minimum hook length of 4 inches to be used.

  • Floating baits can only be used if freelined, ie no bubble floats or controllers of any kind.

  • No artificial/fake baits larger than a single grain of sweetcorn. All nuts must be suitably prepared.

  • Anglers are expected to have and use Klinik or similar.

  • Under no circumstances are Anglers permitted onto the far bank or past the fence at Peg 7 as these areas are Private.

  • No under 16's are allowed. Bait boats are allowed on this Lake only.

  • One non-fishing guest is welcome, if they wish to stay overnight a £3 camping fee will be charged.

  • Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up after them.

  • No litter. Please use a bin or take your rubbish home.

  • Barbeques and cooking stoves must only be used on the pegs stone chippings and not on the grass. Please don’t pour boiling water onto the grass as it kills it.
