* Concessionary tickets are now available on Sundays and Bank Holidays. To qualify for a concessionary ticket, juniors must be aged 15 or under, OAP’s must be over 65 years of age and disabled anglers must be in possession of a valid concessionary EA Licence which we will need to see.

** During quiet periods, we will permit the use of a third rod provided that the swim being fished is open water. Third rods are only available for adults.

*** Evening tickets are available from 5.00pm or for the last four hours of daylight, whichever is earlier.

**** Both anglers and non-angling visitors must purchase a boat ticket. Single anglers booking a boat on Sundays and Bank Holidays through the spring and summer months will be liable to a two person charge of £11. Juniors are only allowed in a boat with an adult. Life jackets are available on free loan secured by a £25 deposit.


* OAP's FISH FOR JUST £6.00 - On Mondays and Tuesdays (excluding bank holidays) OAP's can fish for just £6 per rod. Please note that you will need to ask for these tickets at the time of purchase as refunds cannot be given at a later date.

* WINTER RATES JUST £9.00 - Anglers fishing either Bonds or Milton Lakes between 1st November and 28th February can fish for just £9.00. Please note that this offer excludes predator fishing on the Old Lake.

Opening Times

Bury Hill Fisheries is open every day of the year except Christmas Day & Boxing Day when the fishery will be closed.

  • Weekdays: 7.00am to Sunset

  • Weekends and Bank Holidays: Sunrise (5.30am earliest) to Sunset

Please read these rules carefully before you fish, as failure to observe the rules or acting in any way, which interferes with others’ enjoyment or use of the lakes, will result in the offender being immediately removed and banned from the fishery.

You are reminded that you should be in possession of a valid EA Rod License before starting to fish, day and yearly licenses are available from our tackle and bait shop.

Please note that access to the fishery is strictly for anglers only, however we will allow a maximum of two non-fishing guests provided that they abide by the rules.

Below are our GENERAL FISHERY rules, please refer to the links below to read our CARP, PREDATOR, CLUB & MATCH and BOAT rules.

There is no access to the fishery before the arrival of the bailiff, please refer to the fishery’s opening and closing times

There is no fishing outside of the permitted times - there is strictly no night fishing

Access is only permitted to the public areas, please do not climb gates or trespass

Fish only from the platforms provided, please do not fish between swims

All nets must be dipped before starting to fish, dip tanks are located at each lake

All fish must be returned to the water immediately, do not use keepnets or sacks to retain fish

Anyone found killing fish and/or removing fish will be prosecuted

When returning fish to the water, you must use a sling, zipped unhooking mat or landing net regardless of the distance being carried

Use only barbless hooks - barbed hooks are strictly banned

All forms of fixed lead are banned - all leads must be free running

Rods are not to be left unattended at any time or for any reason

Please be considerate when using buzzers; please turn the sound down as noise travels

Mobile telephone ringing tone volumes should also be kept to minimum and ideally turned on to vibrate

You must be in possession of an unhooking mat for all forms of fishing, we sell general mats and specimen mats when carp and predator fishing in the shop

All fish being photographed must be held over an unhooking mat at all times - photographs should be taken kneeling down under no circumstances should you hold fish standing up

Fish must be weighed using a sling, zipped unhooking mat or landing net.

Particle baits are banned with the exception of sweet corn, hemp & carp pellet, the use of cat and dog food is not allowed

Take all litter, discarded line and unused bait home or place in the waste bins provided by the boathouse and in the car park.

Do not cut or otherwise damage bank-side vegetation

Do not disturb wildlife please advise a member of staff as soon as possible should any wildlife become hurt or injured, hooked or entangled with line, or if line becomes snagged on trees or bushes or on any underwater snag during your visit in order that this can be immediately removed

We do allow dogs onto the fishery, however they must be kept on a lead at all times, you must clean up after them and they must not be noisey

Do not light any fires and do not burn the grass when using any form of cooking equipment

The use of BBQ's is strictly banned

Strictly no picnics

Toilets are available close to the lake; please use them

Alcohol is not to be brought onto the fishery

Catch reports and photographs of any notable fish caught would be appreciated for our website and notice board

  • Cafe serving hot & cold food is open throughout the day at weekends and Bank Holidays, and mornings, lunchtimes and late afternoon during the week

  • Tackle & bait shop is on site selling a wide variety of popular brands

  • Angling tuition can be booked

  • Corporate fishing days can be booked

  • All lakes are disabled-friendly, with flat banks and well-maintained paths and swims, which consist of large substantial wooden platforms that will accommodate a wheelchair and all the fishing tackle you can carry, double swims are available for when a helper is present.
